Dr. First has
been a leading surgeon in the Ophthalmology field for
17 years. He specializes in laser eye surgeries but is
also committed to researching and working in the field
of eye disease. After graduation from the University of
California Berkeley, Dr. First received his medical degree
from the University of Health Sciences at the Chicago
Medical School. He then completed an internship with an
emphasis on surgery at the University of Southern California.
After completing his residency in Ophthalmology at the
Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital in Los Angeles, Dr. First
joined the medical staff at both St. Vincent's Medical
Center and the Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center.
He also is currently on the teaching faculty of the USC
Ophthalmology residency program.
Dr. First remains at the
top of his field by staying informed on new innovations
in eye care. He has particular interest in Laser Vision
Correction, Cataract surgery, and Glaucoma treatment.
As a native Los Angelino,
Dr. First takes Pride in serving the city he grew up
in. His well-respected reputation among colleagues and
patients has grown his practice to what it is today.
